The Integrated Environmental Authorisation (AIA) is the authorisation measure necessary for the operation of a plant included in Annex VIII of the second part of Legislative Decree 152/2006 and provides for measures to avoid or reduce emissions into the air, water and soil, in order to achieve a high level of protection of the environment as a whole, in accordance with the principles of environmental protection and sustainable development.

As regards the AIA Application, this must contain the information necessary for the competent Authority to correctly assess it, as defined by art. 29-ter. For this purpose, the MATTM has prepared a specific form composed of forms and attachments which must be used for the correct performance of the procedure.
