Construction site environmental projects

The construction site of infrastructure projects is one of IRIDE's areas of activity from the dual perspective of environmental design and analysis.

As far as the design activity is concerned, the aspects dealt with by IRIDE concern the whole complex of issues related to the construction site. In addition to defining the methods for managing the waste materials and identifying the procurement and disposal sites, which are the subject of specialised drawings, IRIDE is responsible for defining the system layout of the various types of work-site areas and the layout of each of these areas, drawing up the work programme and identifying the methods for managing traffic flows if the work is carried out in continuity with the operation of the infrastructure being worked on.

As far as the environmental profile is concerned, the analysis carried out by IRIDE starts from a preliminary verification of the complex of project actions in various ways linked to the worksite activity and for each of these it identifies the environmental factors as per Article 5 of Legislative Decree 152/2006 and subsequent amendments and additions potentially affected. On the basis of this correlation matrix, each of the potential expected effects is also investigated on the basis of specific modelling studies, as for example in the case of the production of noise emissions, dust and gaseous pollutants.
