In this regard, Law no. 221 of 28 December 2015, art. 9, introduces the new paragraph 5 bis of art. 26 of DL.vo 152/2006, according to which the HIA procedure concerns projects of thermal power plants and other combustion plants with thermal power exceeding 300 MW, and is carried out on the basis of the guidelines adopted by Ministerial Decree of 27.3.2019.

IRIDE has carried out said studies for some thermal power plants and, more simply, within the SIAs for infrastructure works it has applied the reference criteria in the Public Health component with particular reference to the indications of the Lombardy Region, etc.
